Finding the right counsellor for you
I have experience of working with people on different branches of the autism spectrum, and I am autism allied. To me this means that I try and do what I can to ensure I can provide an exceptional service for people who are neurodiverse. I continue to learn from my clients as individuals, and listen to their unique experiences.
I am committed to continually improving my provision and my understanding, and I don't make judgements or assumptions about what you need from counselling or the space.
One of the ways I do this is being a member of the group "Counsellors working with Neurodiversity". In this group I can learn from peers who are also advocates for people with autism. I also ensure that I continue to learn from my clients and understand their individual needs in the counselling room. I stay up to date with the latest news from the National Autistic Society as well.
